Summary
Senator Craughwell seconded Boyhan’s proposal to add time to the mayor plebiscite debate and reduce time on the Judicial Appointments Commission Bill.
I second the proposal made by my colleague, Senator Boyhan, that an additional half an hour be added to the time allocated to debate No. 2, motion re Direct Election of Mayors Plebiscite Regulations 2019, with the time to be taken from the time allocated to debate the Judicial Appointments Commission Bill.
Last night we heard several cries about democracy from my colleagues on the Sinn Féin benches. This morning we are hearing constantly about the propping up of the Government by Fianna Fáil. This morning we also find that Fianna Fáil is going to the honourable thing and stand up for democracy
