Minister’s transport debate timing

Summary

Craughwell challenged the Leader’s claim that the transport debate had not run out of time, insisting the Minister could not finish and had promised individual replies. The Chair ruled it was not a point of order and asked for no further interruption.

With all due respect, on a point of order, the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport was here yesterday. I was here and contributed to that debate. We ran out of time.

Comment on this

We did not, actually. The Senator is wrong.

That is not a point of order, I am afraid.

The Minister did not have time to finish his points and he undertook to write to us individually.
