Merrion Square remembrance apology

Summary

Senator Craughwell apologised for wrongly alleging the Taoiseach had changed the Merrion Square remembrance ceremony date. The Chair and Senator Gabrielle McFadden acknowledged the apology and accepted it.

There is another issue I wish to raise with the Leader and the Whip. I wrongly accused the Taoiseach of changing the day of the remembrance ceremony in Merrion Square. I have since been reliably informed from the highest sources that it was a military decision. I apologise profusely to the Taoiseach and the Whip, who I know was concerned that I was maligning her boss.

Very good.

I also apologise profusely to the Leader, who took grave exception to what I said. That is the last they will hear of it from me and I do not want to hear any of it from them.

Is that a promise?
