Senators sought statements on the national drugs strategy, nitrous oxide misuse, accessibility of the enduring power of attorney portal, and St. Joseph’s Patrician College development.
I have received notice from the following Senators that they propose to raise the following matters:
Senator Mary Fitzpatrick - The need for the Minister of State at the Department of Health with special responsibility for public health, well-being and the national drugs strategy to make a statement on the national drugs strategy and the role of local drug task forces in the new strategy.
Senator Teresa Costello - The need for the Minister of State at the Department of Health with special responsibility for public health, well-being and the national drugs strategy to make a statement on her plans to prevent the misuse of nitrous oxide and to highlight awareness of the harm caused by its misuse.
Senator Mark Duffy - The need for the Minister for Children, Disability and Equality to make a statement on accessibility in the decision support service's online portal for registering enduring power of attorney, especially for those who lack digital literacy.
Senator Seán Kyne - The need for the Minister for Education and Youth to provide an update on the new school development project for St. Joseph's Patrician College, also known as the Bish, and its relocation to Dangan, County Galway.
The matters raised by the Senators are suitable for discussion and they will be taken now.
