Standing orders and prayer

Summary

Senator Andrews sought to raise a point of order about removing the daily prayer, prompting a detailed chair ruling on how interruptions work under standing orders. The exchange ended with Andrews pressing the question directly.

I have a point of order.

No. The Senator can interrupt to ask a Member when he is speaking. That is the Standing Order. The Senator can do it but only when he is speaking and he has to give way.
