Summary

Deputy Brian Brennan was unanimously elected Leas-Chathaoirleach after self-nominating, with no other nominations received.

James O'Connor An Cathaoirleach Fianna Fáil

The first item of business is the election of Leas-Chathaoirleach. One expression of interest has been received from Deputy Brian Brennan. I invite a formal nomination of Deputy Brennan for the position of Leas-Chathaoirleach. The Deputy is entitled to nominate himself.

I accept that. There is no need for a seconder. As we have received no other nomination, is that agreed? Agreed. I congratulate Deputy Brennan and wish him well.
