National Training Fund (Amendment) Bill 2025
Public bill · Government · Presented
Allows money from the National Training Fund to be used not just for training schemes, but also to buy land, buildings, furniture or equipment, and to build, upgrade, repair or maintain premises used for those schemes. The spending must support one of three aims: improving the skills of people already in work, training people for jobs, or gathering information about current and future skills needs in the economy. It matters because it gives training programmes more flexibility to invest in the places and tools needed to deliver skills support effectively.
Formal long title
Bill entitled an Act to make provision for the making of payments from the National Training Fund for certain purposes in respect of a scheme referred to in section 7 of the National Training Fund Act 2000 and for that purpose to amend that Act and to provide for related matters.
