asked the Minister for the Environment if he will outline the terms of reference which he has given to the group in his Department who are carrying out a general review of the private rented sector; when their work will be completed; when he intends to introduce regulations, including those concerning rent books; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The review of the private rented sector is being carried out by my Department. The question of setting formal terms of reference for a group does not arise. I am not in a position to say when the review might be completed.
