Central Bank Bill financial review
Deputy Mathews seeks a framework within the Central Bank consolidation legislation to review financial-sector risks and credit-union concerns regularly. The Chair rules that the Bill’s contents cannot be debated on the Order of Business; the Tánaiste says it will consolidate existing legislation and is due next year.

That is fine, but the Deputy cannot do it on the Order of Business. That is what I am trying to explain to the Deputy. We do not do that on the Order of Business. We have the Topical Issue debate, parliamentary questions and committee work.
