Deputy Kitt asks when housing amendment legislation will address the lengthy social-housing waiting list; Minister Burton indicates the matter will be addressed later in the Order of Business.
The waiting list for social housing is now very lengthy. In this regard and in the context of the Government's commitment to end homelessness by 2016, when will the housing (miscellaneous provisions) (amendment) Bill be introduced? There is an urgent need to have that legislation enacted.
