Higher Education Authority Bill

Summary

Deputy Bannon asks when the Higher Education Authority Bill will be introduced to support a competitive knowledge economy; Minister Burton says its heads have been drafted and it should reach the Dáil next year.

The HEA is totally at odds with the agency's stated aims regarding enhancing the skills and competence of individual enterprises. We need to develop Ireland as a competitive knowledge-based economy.
