Autism speech and language therapy

Summary

Deputy Buttimer seeks priority for speech and language therapy under the national disability strategy and requests a debate; the Taoiseach asks the Whip to explore arranging one.

In the context of the national disability strategy under the Department of Health and the Cabinet sub-committee on social policy, I wish to ask the Taoiseach, in regard to autism, whether speech and language therapy will get priority. Perhaps we could have a debate on this in the House before we dissolve the Dáil.
