Deputy Cian O'Callaghan asked the Minister for Justice, Home Affairs and Migration to examine the delays in issuing a Garda vetting invitation to a person (details supplied); the reason his Department has not yet issued a response on this despite the original query first being raised back in February 2026; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The naturalisation application referred to by the Deputy continues to be processed by my Department.

I can advise the Deputy that the cited person was issued with an eVetting link twice. The second link was issued in February 2026 to the updated email address associated with the naturalisation application.

I understand that the Deputy has been in contact with my Department's Immigration Oireachtas service regarding the person concerned and that the matter has been addressed.
