2264. Deputy Aidan Farrelly asked the Minister for Justice, Home Affairs and Migration if all Gardaí assigned to armed support units nationwide are fully trained in emergency first aid. [56917/26]

The Garda Commissioner is responsible for the management and administration of An Garda Síochána under Section 33 of the Act, which includes Garda training. The Commissioner is independent in his functions under Section 34 of the Act.

I am informed by the Garda authorities that all members of the Armed Support Unit are trained in emergency first aid.
