Disability Services

2718. Deputy Liam Quaide asked the Minister for Children, Disability and Equality if she is aware that an adult with an intellectual disability (details supplied) is facing discharge from their current residential-service provider due to the HSE's failure to provide the funding required to meet the individual's assessed care needs; the steps being taken to ensure that appropriate funding is put in place to prevent the disruption of care and support; and if she will make a statement on the matter. I wish to thank the Deputy for raising this question. As this question refers to service matters, I have asked the Health Service Executive (HSE) to respond to the Deputy directly.
