Disability Services

2982. Deputy Liam Quaide asked the Minister for Children, Disability and Equality the number of residential disability placements for children and adolescents that ended during each of the years 2024, 2025 and to date in 2026 due to provider withdrawal, service closure or the provider stating that it could no longer meet the child’s needs; and the number of children subsequently moved to another placement. I wish to thank the Deputy for raising this question. As this question refers to service matters, I have asked the Health Service Executive (HSE) to respond to the Deputy directly.
