Disability Services

2987. Deputy Liam Quaide asked the Minister for Children, Disability and Equality whether having a mild intellectual disability precludes or restricts eligibility for HSE-funded respite services in any HSE Health Region; the eligibility criteria applied in each region; the number of children and adults with a mild intellectual disability who applied for respite, were approved and were refused in 2025 and to date in 2026 by Health Region; and the reasons for refusal, in tabular form.
