Health Services

Summary

The Minister referred the questions on implementing a single access point for child services to the Department of Children, Disability and Equality.

3353. Deputy Liam Quaide asked the Minister for Health for an update on the implementation of the single point of access model for child services; the precise process for adjudicating cases where there is disagreement as to the appropriate service or pathway, including who makes the final decision and within what timeframe; whether all relevant professional disciplines and service areas have formally agreed to the model; and, where agreement remains outstanding, the disciplines or services concerned and the issues yet to be resolved. This PQ should be directed to my colleague in the Department of Children, Disability and Equality as the topics raised fall within their remit.
