The Roadmap for Delivery of the Dublin City Taskforce Report creates an enabling environment designed to build confidence with business, landholders and investors to get involved in achieving a new vision for Dublin City Centre and to drive private sector investment.

An Oversight Board, comprising all of the relevant Departments and Agencies, has been established to oversee and provide strategic direction for delivery of the Roadmap. It is chaired by the Department of the Taoiseach. The Board has been meeting regularly since its establishment in July.

Each relevant department and agency will factor the funding requirements of specific actions under the Delivery Roadmap into the appropriate phases of the 2025 revised NDP and funding allocations for different sectors. Additional funding under the new Towns and Cities Regeneration Investment Fund (formerly URDF) has been provided under the 2025 revised NDP which will help create redevelopment momentum more generally and support creation of the oversight structures and support the set-up of the SPV.

In addition, changes to the Living City Initiative, announced as part of Budget 2026, will support regeneration and efforts to tackle vacancy and dereliction in the city.

For revenue costs relating to services (whether new or existing commitments), these will be dealt with in the Estimates processes year-on-year, commencing in Budget 2026.

Changes to the Living City Initiative announced as part of Budget 2026 will also support regeneration and efforts to tackle vacancy and dereliction in cities: Cork, Dublin, Galway, Kilkenny, Limerick and Waterford, and from 8 April 2026, also in the following towns: Athlone, Drogheda, Dundalk, Letterkenny, and Sligo.
