Summary

The Minister referred the request for 2026 adult primary-care therapy posts, advertisements and staffing gaps by area to the HSE for response.

Deputy Liam Quaide asked the Minister for Health the number of new posts funded for adult primary care physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, psychology, dietetics and podiatry services in 2026, by discipline; the number of these posts advertised so far this year; the extent to which the posts will address the difference between current staffing and the WTE staffing she considers necessary to provide an adequate service; and the figures by Integrated Healthcare Area and HSE Health Region, in tabular form.
