The Department monitors and assesses performance against National Service Plan targets. This analysis is informed by monthly HSE performance reports, primarily the National Performance Report (NPR), and by ongoing engagement between the Department and HSE. Where underperformance is identified, issues are brought to the attention of the Management Board for review and appropriate action.

GI Scopes activity is currently behind target but as noted above the situation is being monitored and to date three regions have implemented regional improvement plans and it is anticipated that this will lead to improved performance in the coming months.
