2028. Deputy Eoin Hayes asked the Minister for Social Protection the total number of recipients of the one-parent family payment who avail of the full €165 income disregard; the number of those that earn more than €200, and if he will make a statement on the matter. [60349/26]

The One-Parent Family Payment is a payment for people under 66 who are bringing children up without the support of a partner. Parents can work and receive the One-Parent Family Payment; the first €165 of earnings is disregarded in the means test, with half of earnings above this amount assessable as means.

At the end of July 2026, there were 42,785 recipients of One-Parent Family Payment; of those, 13,735 recipients were availing of the full €165 income disregard, of which 12,487 were earning more than €200 per week.
