Healthcare Infrastructure Provision

The Minister referred questions about healthcare access after deportation orders, including continuity of mental-health and chronic-illness treatment, to the HSE.

Deputy Gary Gannon asked the Minister for Health the number of persons who have lost access to a medical card, prescribed medication or other State funded healthcare following the issuing of a return decision or deportation order in 2025 and to date in 2026; if this includes persons receiving mental health treatment or treatment for chronic illness; if continuity of care for such persons is monitored; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
