Deputy Pádraig Rice asked the Minister for Health further to Parliamentary Question No. 3870 of 28 July 2026, to provide an update on the development of the two-year action plan to guide the implementation of the National Oral Health Policy, Smile agus Sláinte, published in 2019; and the current timeline for publication of this action plan. Following PQ 58072/26, I am currently reviewing the draft Oral Health Action Plan and will be engaging with my Department officials and HSE colleagues in this regard. Following my review and any amendments needed, I will be in a better position to provide the Deputy with a publication date. I am committed to improving access to oral healthcare for patients and to implementing the actions in the Plan promptly.
