83. Deputy Eoin Hayes asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade the number of passport applications received by country and region of residence in each of the years 2020 to 2025; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [63860/26]

The Passport Service does not collate applicant data based on place of residence, but rather on the dispatch address of the applicant.

In the time allowable, it has not been possible to extract the data related to specific countries. The Passport Service will provide this additional information to the Deputy when it is available.

The table below shows the number of passports issued by region in each of the years 2021 to 2025, and to date in 2026. The Passport Service will provide the numbers for 2020 to the Deputy when available.
