The Health Service Executive was asked to provide information on enhanced supervision expenditure, admissions, ward type and duration for affected children and adolescents.

Deputy Liam Quaide asked the Minister for Health the total expenditure on one-to-one, two-to-one or three-to-one supervision, or other enhanced observation, for children and adolescents with an intellectual disability admitted to each Cork University Hospital and University Hospital Limerick, by month from January 2026; the number of admissions for this cohort; whether each such admission was to a paediatric ward or an adult ward for the young person; the longest duration of any such admission in 2026; and whether that admission was to a paediatric or adult ward.
