Deputy Liam Quaide asked the Minister for Health to provide, in respect of safeguarding referrals or notifications relating to residents of nursing homes, the number recorded under each category of safeguarding concern used by the HSE, including physical abuse, sexual abuse, psychological abuse, financial abuse, neglect, discriminatory abuse, institutional abuse, self-neglect and any other category recorded, in each of the years 2024, 2025 and to date in 2026; and if she will make a statement on the matter. As these are operational matters I have asked the Health Service Executive to respond directly to the Deputy as soon as possible.
